Previous To Few Months, Google Had Google Map Maker Service To Add A Missing Place.But Now, Google Collapse This Service, Now This Feature Is Available With In The Google Maps On Desktop Version Or In Mobile App.

 In This Guide I'll Show You How To Add A Place(Category Like Shop, School, Park Etc.) And How To Set Up Your Business Place Information On Your Google Maps Because Google Map Provide Separate Service For This Type Of Category For Free.


Method 1.)Add A Place On Google Maps On PC- 

Step 1.)Open Google Maps Website In Your Browser.(Use Google Chrome Browser On Your PC For This Method).Here's The Link-https://www.google.com/maps Sign In With Your Google Account If You're Signed Out.

Step 2.)Search Your Address Using Google Map Search Box Or Use Your Mouse Cursor And Go To That Place On Map Which You Want To Add.
Right Click On That Place And Choose Add A Missing Place.

Step 3.)After It You Have To Fill Up Required Information For Your Place That You're Going To Add On Google Maps.

Fill Up The Required Information And Tap On Submit Button.In Category If You Choose Home Then Only You Can See Because Home Category Is Private.Otherwise Choose Public Category So That Other Can See It, Public Category Is Like School, Park Etc.

Google Will Review Your Place And After Successful Review, You'll Get Email Of Confirmation.

Method 2.)Add A Place Using Google Maps App

Step 1.)On Your Mobile Device Either Android Or iOS, Open Google Maps AppGoogle Maps .

Step 2.)On Google Maps App, You Just Have To Hold Your Fingers On That Place Which You Want To Add.You'll See Dropped Pin Message.

Step 3.)Now, Scroll Up That Message From The Same Screen And Tap On Add A Missing Place.

Step 4.)Fill Up The Required Information And Submit.Google Will Review It And Update The Map After Confirmation.

You Can Also Edit A Place On Google Maps.Open Google Maps App And Go To The Place Which Is Already Added, Tap On It/Hold Down Your Fingers.You Can Add Photos To That Place, Review It And Add Suggestions.Google Will Give You Reward If You Do This.You Can Check Your Contribution To Google Maps Using Google Map.Tap On The Menu Of Google Maps(Three Lines/Hamburger Type Icon At Top Left) And Choose Your Contribution.

Method 3.)Add Your Business Info On Google Maps

Step 1.)Go To Google.com/Business  

Step 2.)Sign In With Your Google Account, If You Have Not A Google Account Then Create.

Step 3.)You'll See A Form Asking You To Fill Up Required Information About Your Business Place-Like-Country, City, Pin code, Website Or More Info.Then Continue After You Fill Up Required Field.

If any of your information is incorrect:
  • Click Verify later.
  • If you manage more than one location, click Manage location for the location you’d like to edit.
  • Click Info at the top of the page.
  • Click the section you’d like to change and enter your business information.
  • When you’ve finished editing all of your business information, click Done editing at the bottom of the page.
  • Now that you’ve either claimed or created your listing, it’s time to verify your business. Once you verify, your business information will be eligible to appear across Google.
