Facebook's Two-Step Verification Is Not Similar To Google Two-Step Verification Because In Most Of Cases Facebook Asks Users To Enter A Code Generated By A Code Generator Instead Of Sending An SMS To Phone Number.

Code Generator?

Facebook App Has Built-In Code Generator That Generate Two-Step Verification Codes. When A User From A Different Location/Browser Go For Login To Facebook, And Two-Step Verification Is Turned On For Your Account - Facebook Will Force You Enter A Code.

If You Are Logged Into A Browser Like Google Chrome Or In Facebook App, Then You Simply Have To Tap On Yes/Approve Option.

But If You Are Not Logged In To Any App, Browser - Then There Is An Option Of Send An SMS. Facebook Sends You A Code To Your Registered Number. You Have To Enter It.

But Sometimes, These SMS Codes Not Works Because There Is A Limit Of SMS Requests, If You Cross It - You Will See An Error While Login To Facebook Like "Your Password Is Incorrect" But You Entered Correct Password. That Means You Are Temporarily Locked.
